When I was nine, I read Edith Hamilton’s book Mythology. I was obsessed with Ray Harryhausen’s work. My first contact with cinematography happened when I inherited a Bell & Howell super 8mm camera. I was still in primary school and I began making my own stop-motion films with clay monsters I sculpted.
